Have any owners found anywhere, (apart from the evolution site) to access new patches?
Also, anyone interested in an Emulator X patch that i've made?

I'm more interested in your take on this. I played with one for a minute or so at guitar center recently and the action felt kind of "cheap"(though it was better than my current midi controller). how is this thing in practice? I wish yamaha would make an 88 key controller with no sounds- I always have liked their feel.

i never ever ever use the controllers.

just the keys.

this thing is inexpensive for a reason.

some of my keys have diff weightings.

etc.

aka.. don't get one unless u need the 88keys and can't stand 'synth' style keys.

thats just me tho

I picked up a Yamaha P60 myself. Yes, it's got the sounds and built-in speakers, but it has the same weighted keybed as like the S90. Very happy with the feel, and they go for $750.

I guess thats not so bad- I played on a P 60 as well that same day. Its not a bad unit really, though it may be slightly large for my desk.

If you read enough reader reviews, the "this is the BEST feeling, most realistic piano board out there!", which was pretty much what I had determined after playing the S90, that that keybed was the best out there. I wanted more realistic this time around, so that's what I decided to get. I'm actually pretty pleased with its sound.

yeah - for my ears the piano remic you did of it sounded great! if the day ever comes I decide synth action just isn't enough, the p-60 is what I'll most definely look at.

I think that for the cost the action on th M-audio KS88 is great, but then i bought it, so maybe i'm being defensive! Yamaha actions are definately superior but i wanted all of the controls.
The best feature is the large backlit lcd screen, it's dead easy to program, which is a bonus when you are using quite a few VSTis.

) a couple of days ago. WAY better feel than the Alesis QS 8.1 I used to have...
