I've played them. In person, they neither sound like a Martin, nor do they feel like a Martin. The Stratabond neck feels weird, and the Micarta fretboard is almost exactly unlike ebony. If I was gigging with an acoustic, I'd use either my Sigma or my Walden, neither of which were huge cash outlays. Both will likely sound better than the Martin.

Anyways, I'm not the one who will be playing it. Good luck!

getting a Kustom KG100FX 2.0 Guitar Amplifier... 100+ watts (solid state) for under $200... 12" combo amp... i was shopping for amps for weeks... Katana this, Transtube that (luv luv luv the Peavey Transtube), Fender Champion 40 the other... RMS ... Stagg... Randall 80-watt... Acoustic, Monoprice... even other Kustom models... was looking at the 2x10" amp for $129, and a 12" 20 watt for $100... then... saw this KG 100 watt for $190... was all over that...

BTW, loved the Champion 40... sold it, and was thinking of re-buying... 40-watts 12" speaker for $179...that thing has some 'great chug' for the price point...

This new Kustom should be cool though...

(That Randall is powerful for $249, but it's more for super heavy music...)

this. and it arrived today.
I read the description. My first thought was 'I know this is English, but I may as well be reading Swahili.' :D

After second reading, I have a rudimentary grasp of what it does.

Have fun!

I need more outboard FX units. Thinking maybe another Zoom MS pedal or one of those Electro Harmonix multi-pedals. I'd say these are non-guitar because I intend to use them on synths.

Either that or a Make Noise skiff. I've been hesitant for years to get into Eurorack, but now I've pretty much checked all the boxes for standalone synths that it's starting to seem more intriguing.

Or I might get a hardware compressor for the mixer master bus. An inexpensive one. Maybe another FMR RNC.

Audio Modeling just sent out a Kickstarter campaign for Neova that looks very interesting to me.

Early bird support comes out to about $235.00 shipped, so I think I'm going to jump on this. I like the fact that you can use it with any board. Seems like a good evolution of the motion control a few years back.

And before everyone jumps in with their favorite MPE controller, I've considered them often and nothing quite set with me personally. (Rise Block was closest, but two octaves is not enough and four is too much for my set application.)

Well, this arrived today, an early birthday present. It is a really nice amp, capable of everything I need it to do. Clean is great, overdrive is 'creamy,' but not muddy. The nomenclature is a little weird, but I am already used to it.

the electro harmonix blurst is worth looking in to for synths, its a low pass filter and is great.
has an lfo or can be controlled via expression pedal.
check it out on youtube :)

Thanks! I am really digging this amp, even through the humble Epi 112 cab. I have the flu (again), so I haven't been able to really play it as much I would, but for the limited time I've gotten to spend with it, I am really impressed. I am not usually 'gushy' when reviewing a piece of gear, but all I can say is, I wish I had tried out a VOX a lot earlier! It is the one type of traditional amp that I've never played. To me, guitar amps were either Fender or Marshall, but this.....

This is heaven. I've been using it on the middle wattage setting, 1.5 watts, which is still pretty damn loud living in an apartment, and the tones that come out.... My Epi 'Inspired By John Lennon' Casino does lovely feedback. Even P-90s, at this setting, are not really very noisy at all.

Lordy. I haven't even dug out my old pedals yet. I don't have many, but I've read that these amps handle pedals brilliantly. The dynamic range is intense. Pick gently, it is relatively clean. Dig in, and it gets that 'creamy' overdriven sound that makes me want to.....I won't say it..... :hihi:

I have yet to use an amp sim that can do what this amp can do.

Gush....Gush....Gush.....
