Ha ha, I almost thought that was Studio One 4.0
To me at least, background arrangement area in S1 V2 looked so similar to Logic's 9. :)

Whenever i see a screenshot of the v2 GUI of S1, i have to wonder why they chose such a bad contrast colouring and theme for version 3... and whenever i see screenshots of Logic 9, i have to wonder why they opted for a dark colour scheme in Logic X. :P Trends don't always follow design guidelines, i guess.

Yeah. :ud:

Ok, got another one, last one for tonight, can we set project end, so when we zoom out we only can work inside given measure, right now when I zoom out I'm seeing like 911 measures, I don't want to work in more than 200 really, stuff got tiny so fast, it makes zooming in/out quite a PITA.

I got more, would really appreciate it.

Is ti possible in Cakewalk to multi-slice a clip, for example if I multi-slice first 1/16th note of a clip, it will get sliced every 1/16th note. (not the best video, but you got the picture)

Maybe something like this is what you are looking for? Not sure about the 16th note thing, but it will detect beats.

Try opening the Plugin Manager and see if they show up under DX effects. If so, just add them manually to the menu layout of choice.

In response to my issue with DX plugin's, no joy...uninstalled - reinstalled CbB, reset VST paths, rescanning multiple times... nothing from Sonitus shows up in the Audio Tab Effect like that guy showed in the video...I've given up...but they are probably not that important when one has hundreds of other plugins to choose from in any case...
See above :)

What, I've ended up doing is cleaning up my primary hard drive, releasing 28 gigs from it. I've dicovered that when you uninstall Cakewalk Bandlab, that it doesn't do it properly, it doesn't clear the roaming folders/temp folders or clear the registry :dog:, but at least I found that out. Bandlab need to improve the uninstaller let alone the installer that doesn't let you choose where you want to install it.

I discovered all the Cakewalk stuff, it didn't uninstall when I went to use IOBit Uninstaller which cleans out programs properly. I was encountering popup requests to reallocate plugin paths from the Shared Utility folder... and hence the reason for removing it entirely and properly this time.

With the previous installation I had set the program up on another big drive with all the folders and references to the files needed for the program because I really don't want Cakewalk on my primary creating lots of crap there, fragmenting my hard disk and slowing my system down so I'm going to have to do this again.

Hopefully this time on a clean system... it will go smoother, and not go awry.

Update....

Didn't work.... Cakewalk refused to launch.....what a friggen nightmare of a daw this is... and in the process of reactivating the Assistant, I click to the install button and it begins automatically updating the original installer file.. I downloaded and now that's corrupt. I didn't have a backup... so have to spend another 2 hours downloading it and hoping it works...

Seriously... for all it's brilliance as this daw was / is... it's just a waste of time, money and energy... and if it goes this bad within the space of a week, I hate to see what happens when you actually get down to producing music and discovering the real bugs within it..

In the bigger picture of things, I have no confidence in Bandlab, I didn't know them from Adam before... I wasn't a Sonar user previously, and from all I've heard over the years..is people moving away from it, because it wasn't getting fixed...

It's been an interesting ride... but it's not one that I need to take along journey on.. My time and real money has been with Presonus for almost the past 4 years, and I've happily got by with that and been able to mod Studio One's interface to my liking so it's attractive and uncluttered with interface overlays...and make some music....

So yeah... cool idea's and features but..not enough to make me jump ship and produce in it... even for a short time... as much as I thought I would. The main browser just isn't as good as Studio One's 3 / 3.5...

It's not all bad though...I've stolen the plugin's to use in Studio One, so there is that I got out of it... :hihi:

So few uninstallers do remove things from these locations. It's tedious having to go hunting around every time you have to uninstall something.

As you already have Studio One I can see why you are sticking with it.

But for the many of us who do not own it,the decision is much clearer. Pay $399 for Studio One, or download Cakewalk Bandlab for free.:)

Hate to state the obvious, but free is not paying.

Nada - nil - no charge - gratis........

Which part of that equation does not compute ?

And its a highly capable Daw that has features the others dont, especially compared to S1.

Never had a major issue, the one bug I reported was fixed by the following month
