wondering if there is a secret "ghost" clip, or clone kind of thing in Cakewalk? I'm having a really hard time finding anything about it, so I am guessing not, but I thought I'd ask here just in case it's there but I've missed it.
Eg: copy clip -> make changes to copy ->-> changes occur in original as well.
Trying to think of a host that does it... I seem to remember Podium did that?

Search the manual for "linked clips". It is exactly that. You must either copy/paste and select the option "copy as linked clips" when prompted, or check the same in the drag and drop options to do it by crl + drag.
