Ok , you got me there.gentleclockdivider wrote:Well let's start with the sample engine ...it still has the old filters that were implemented 20 years ago .
SUre , they updated it with a nice gui ..but the code is exactly the same ...
These filters def. need an update ...
A reply from the mod was , that he couldn't hear any difference between the legacy filters and upto date zdf filters .
That's what I mean with the I.L. policy
the limit of my knowledge. i know nothing...

But to paraphrase Mark Twain:
"There is only one thing worse than being pirated, that's not being pirated".
And by that I mean, it's a sign of how popular FL Studio is, not that we like piracy.
We take down about 600 how to crack FL Studio YouTube videos a month. 1000's of links to downloads.

"There is only one thing worse than being pirated, that's not being pirated".
Doesn't that defeat the purpose of free updates for life? It pretty much gives them a free license to steal.
It's probably too late for "Image"-Line to rethink their update scheme...

(this is not a how to article, nor does it condone the use of pirating, which is not allowed on KVR under their rules.)
AVICII, MARTIN GARRIX, AND OTHERS HAVE USED PIRATED SOFTWARE
https://www.youredm.com/2015/02/24/avic ... -software/
Can you guess which software? Seems like everyone gets free updates for life even without paying for it.
And according to some famous novelist and marketing guru, pirating is acceptable if it helps show the popularity of the software (basically free marketing and advertisement 101).
Be safe out their children and look both ways before you cross the street...

I totally fail to see any correlation between "news" and advertising in this context. If you have nothing to add to this conversation about FL Studio 12.9 beta stay out of this thread. You made your point, I have asked you to stop as others are calling this trolling all further post on this tangent will be deleted at the very least.gas pump wrote:Hink wrote:4 out 5 dentists prefer crest, choosy moms choose jiff, the best a man can get, more **** use ****...it's called marketing people, fluff words, puffing and it happens in every walk of life....hardly worth 5 pages derailing the thread...the internet, 28 years of feeding trolls

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Might be because you can't even find the differences in the correlation of a statement and advertisement."a large percentage of today's popular music is either made entirely or partially with FL Studio"

OK, well i finally downloaded and installed the latest beta (12.9), and i just wanna congratulate you guys at Image Line (don't take that lightly!).
Bearing in mind, i've just jumped from 12.4 to 12.9 (12.5 stable gave me dx problems), i'm actually quite shocked how much you have improved the overall workflow.
Little quality of life improvements that you probably didn't think were that important, but are actually some of the main reasons i would find myself considering a DAW switch.
For example, FINALLY i can delete unused patterns?? you probably think yeah whatever, big deal, but i'll tell you, whenever i start a new project, i don't just start a "new project" (my routing alone would take an hour to set up). I will load up my last complete track that has a similar sound to what i'm doing, and use that as my starting template.
Which means, before i've even started the track, i've got 500+ junk patterns that are totally clogging up my patterns list, and making it impossible to have any sort of organisation.
Now i know for a fact that is something people have been asking for on the I.L forums for years, so it's nice to see you are actually listening to the people who have already given you their money.
Seriously, 12.4 >> 12.9 feels like a different DAW. Respect to you for the hard work on this one.
Oh, and good job on the bounce / replace audio function! that's more like it lol.
And in case you do pay attention to this, my biggest wish now is if you could get slicex to auto add a marker at the start when we load a sample?
I use it as my main drum sampler (need the envelopes), and here's what happens. I decide i wanna change the hihat sound, so as the song is playing, i push down on mouse wheel to auto replace the hihat with a hihat in browser, which is a great time saving function, but unfortunately slicex removes the first marker everytime a new sample is added.
So browsing new drumsounds means middle click, then add marker, which is quite the workflow killer when you're browsing a hundred hihat sounds.
Anyway, request aside, thanks for the awesome update! Looking forward to working with this when stable

Oh right I forgot they said that. I'm not on their forums very often.
