Yeah you are comparing two SSLs against a Neve. So there is certainly a difference with the eq shapes and the compressors.
The biggest notable thing is that the Console N has TMT emulating subtle channel strip variations. Waves do have the NLS and many combine that with the SSL strips for added depth.
The SSL compressors also have kind of an adaptive attack time, much like the DBX compressor, the Neve is fixed at something like 3ms, but it does have a limiter setting, so I’m not sure if that decreases the attack time or not.

Has anyone heard anything about waves exposing the EQ curves in the SSL channels to AAX so that the the curves show up in the display in Pro Tools? Seems like a huge miss to me. I use them all over the place in my projects and while they DO expose the gain reduction data to AAX, they do NOT expose the EQ curve data.
