Some of you, in the Sound on Sound newsletter mail list, have got this link. But I include it here, anyway, for one reason only: it shows how "properly" and serious this kind of animation music track is prepared.
Someone could imagine (including me), that something less traditional way to implement the music for the Family Guy, would due.

His mock Raisin Bran jingle has to be the most sophisticated jingle I ever heard.

Yeah, that was an interesting look into Walter Murphy's methods. I'd say Family Guy has better musical numbers than most other "adult" cartoons (I know they've won at least one Emmy, maybe more)...and it's freakin' hilarious.
