At the very least, after it comes out, you will have pages of people asserting that said product doesn't meet the definition of a "paradigm shift." I don't know about you guys but I just love those kinds of pedantic debates, I'm looking forward to it myself.recursive one wrote:Bombadil wrote: Larry Trask advises readers to refrain from using it, and to use caution when reading anything that contains the phrase. It is referred to in several articles and books[27][28] as abused and overused to the point of becoming meaningless.”![]()
Anyway, it seems to be still working as there are 7 pages of discussion of a product about which we know virtually nothing. Though it may end up with people being strongly biased against the product before they even know what it actually is.

I am a scientist. Or, was, but the training is still there. I find it slightly offensive when some marketing weenie appropriates concepts that are generally beyond their intellectual grasp.
Then again, pedantry is underrated.

I think that if this forum could learn to combine its pedantries with its pleasantries, it'd be something else indeed. (Yes, I made up a word there, hope that's okBombadil wrote: Then again, pedantry is underrated.

This is my new favorite guess. Actually tied with the clever guess I mentioned previously, a tie as they are both great for different reasons.Unaspected wrote: ...Or a pitch shifter called Paradigm Shift...
Unfortunately this isn't it but I really like that idea. And no, it wouldn't be a paradigm shift even for us but it is a cool idea.
Also, paradigm shift will make sense in context as stated before and focusing on just that might be a bit too deep in the weeds (meaning there are other clues in the things I listed previously).

I love Amplitube and MODO Bass, so I hope this new product is MODO Guitar!
