I seem to be havin a prob with Kontakt using DFD
After loading a certain ammount of samples Kontakt says it cannot find 'blah.wav'
when you select auto find or manual find I can see the file but Kontakt still thinks the file is missing.....
Kontakt seems to be hitting a limit, after a certain ammount of samples are loaded it cannot load anymore samples..?
I am not sure but i think there is approx 10gb loaded when the errors start to occur
I can get round this by loading another instance of Kontakt but would like to be able to run it in a single instance
So, le question is.. is anyone aware of any limitations of Kontakt running in DFD mode? and/or how can this be fixed?
Many Thanks KVRians

Never tried to use 10Gb of samples. Tried posting at the NI Kontakt forum?

You have to be aware, that even DFD needs a certain amount of RAM, since small parts of the samples have to be loaded to make sure you can trigger them without latency.sleepingsword wrote:So, le question is.. is anyone aware of any limitations of Kontakt running in DFD mode?
If you have a look at Kontakt's DFD settings and switch to "expert", you can see (and manually set) the amount of memory allocated.
?????????????
