If Peter doesn't want to chat, we'll just speculate, that's what we do best here at KVR.

Beat just leaded this. You guys got it all wrong, the paradigm shift is with respect to keys. IK is eliminating that longstanding pesky inconsistency for a new generation of musicians.

But in all seriousness, I've always had good interactions and support from Peter and IK in general, so I'd like to voice some appreciation. Also interested to hear some audio demo's for Uno, paradigm shift or no.
A well-behaved signature.

Ah, the shift is that we're thinking of the wrong denotation of model.

I don't think Beat broke anything, the info was not in the magazine, they got payed to put the flyer of Superbooth in their package. And Superbooth most likely got payed to put that info in their flyer to advertise the whole event.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:But... just because one magazine broke an embargo date...
IKM did break their own embargo... Nobody to blame here...
In the end, for most people interested in such a product, only how it sounds counts. The leaking must have been a planned marketing strategy to make more potential customers come to the event. Win-win...

For the new hardware product to fit in with the existing portfolio, I'd say they either use the samples as oscillator priciple they developed for Syntronik or they found a way of building an analog oscillator which can be controlled to sound like different original oscillators.
The same for filters. The originals had different hardware components. Either they integrated one of each in a very small form factor or they found a way of making one generic design behave and sound like different originals.
This would make it analog analog modelling and indeed an actual paradigm shift from software analog modelling.

I've gone from amp sims back to a real amp. No DSP, no USB, all analog tube heaven!!! I'VE SHIFTED MY PARADIGM!!!!
Oh, and it's HYPERREALISTIC!

That was not supposed to reach anybody until May 2 so yes they did indeed break embargo. And they’ve heard plenty about itTj Shredder wrote:I don't think Beat broke anything, the info was not in the magazine, they got payed to put the flyer of Superbooth in their package. Oh and I can share info, though yes there are some more recent things - especially since that info looks to contain some that they obtained from a private showing at NAMM - there is enough that I can share some later. I’m mobile now but can share more later when I’m not. Thanks!

It was a joke. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.goldenanalog wrote:First of all, sir: thanks for taking the time -
