OK, I'm an audio guy but have been using Cubase and some VSTi's for years. I'm happy with Sampletank 2L.
Now here is the newbie part:
I installed the Drum module with the UFO and chose Sampletank. Followed all the directions.
Things seemed copy/install fine.
I load ST2 as a VSTi, open ST2 to edit, and.....
Where do I choose/load the new drums from???

come on ....come on....look up Mr Trout. It's a barbless hook and I practice C&R....sorry couldn't resist... are you a Brookie or a Rainbow?

Sorry... I expect that you had the UFO install into your ST2 instrument folder, right? All you need to do is have ST2 relist and the folder you installed the drumcapsule into will show .

...why a Brookie of course :D

Ah, the dreaded relist. I'll bet ST2 was remembering the last settings.
Thanks, I'll try that.

Good. It should would. So are you a selective feeder?...wild? stocked? Lake? Stream? West Slope? East Slope? I don't usually get to talk to a speaking salmonid... :D

You can find me in a stream in Northern Ontario.
I'm wily, wild, and usually in the shadows of a deep pool. I'll take a dry fly no probs. 8)

For anyone as braindead as I, here is the solution:

I had installed the capsule into my Sampletank 2 directory...wrong.

I should have, and eventually did, install into:

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\IK Multimedia\ST Instruments\ folder.

You have to find the ST Instruments folder from your original install of Sampletank.
HTH someone else.

Actually, you can install the Capsule anywhere, as long as it's in the ST2Instruments directory. That directory can reside any place you like (does not need to be in VSTplugins). In my case it's on my external firewire disk drive. Remember, you can create a custom location for your ST2Instruments folder by simply re-specifying the root directory from inside ST2 options. In my case I have 15GB+ of ST2 sounds so it makes sense to keep them on my big mutha external drive off my laptop.
