Sorry could not resist :clown:

I do love my iRig keys, so hyperbolic marketing aside, bring it!

(ok, so a grippier volume / data knob would be nice ;) )

Waldorf Pulse
Pioneer/DSI Toraiz A1 (aka 1 Voice of Prophet)
DSI Mopho
Korg Monologue
Korg Volca
That new Moog like clone from Roland
Behringer Moog Clone

What did i miss?
You missed too many to list :hihi:

EDIT: Unless the portable small analog means pocket like synths... but in that case, I think the Pulse doesn't qualify either

This appears to be a paradigm shift in marketing.

Maximum forum exposure achieved.

All publicity is groovy publicity, anger is an energy, if you can't beat 'em f*ck 'em, etc...

Well played Peter.
eh?

I’m ready IK. Unleash the Volca. Sorry, new amazing product.

"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Sorry then. I picked a quote which was attributed to you

EDIT: It was Elektronisch. I corrected the post. :tu:

Its not.
It's been discussed at length. It's a small portable synthesizer

I know, that's why i answered his guess with "its not"
Sorry if it wasn't clear, I wasn't disagreeing with you, I was elaborating on your assertion to avoid further discussion down a direction of confusion in the thread.

If I wanted to make music 'on the go' I'd take a laptop or tablet, not a monosynth. I suppose it's handy for gigging purposes, but other than that I feel like the emphasis on portability (the word was mentioned at least 4 times in their marketing blurb) isn't particularly relevant these days.
That's why a lot of us are saying who gives a shit, but, I think that it's a mistake to think in those terms. What matters isn't what matters for music, but what you can sell. So if IK sees other manufacturers selling little synths with a limited interface in droves to people on limited budgets who want "real analog," then yes, they're going to get in on that.

You are right.

In general i dont think KVR is a big "portion" of IK or in general hardware synth customers, if those synths are selling, IK also might sell :)

IYHO... Taking all things into consideration including the world outside of KVR, the campaign has been going well. There's a ton of interest in this announcement, we've had a full dance card for Superbooth from about two days into the countdown.
Yes. Interest. In a paradigm shift.
Now that we, and they, know this is a lie, and what this boring product really is, all you have left is riducule. And rightly so.

can we delay the paradigm shift?
im not sure the world is ready for new technologies :(
look how we misuse the tech we already have, could you live with it on your conscience if your new technology is used for nefarious purposes?
science be damned! this is human lives were talking about! 7 billion, gone, in an instant.
all because you just had to release a portable synth on to a world that couldn't handle the responsibility.

what have you done? goddammit! what have you doooooooone!
