The free (boogie) one doesn't seem to do side-chaining, so (for me) it doesn't appeal.
Without side-chaining, I would think that this is a very niche product. Having a roving EQ hump or dip is surely creating mix issues, rather than solving them?

Thanks! Interesting point. But perhaps it is usable as an eq anyway? I mean, it looks good and it's free.

Not necessarily. By setting the surfer band, you are boosting or cutting overtones relative to the fundamental. So it's not like it is roving randomly (which would be problematic); it is related to the fundamental pitch (ie, whatever you play). It is kind of similar to keytracking a filter in a synth. It can be an interesting way to affect the tone of monophonic instruments.ZargonTheMagnificent wrote:Having a roving EQ hump or dip is surely creating mix issues, rather than solving them?

No but you do get some softube goodies, an addictive keys instrument of your choice, the current offer and lite versions of Ableton Live and Pro Tools.rod_zero wrote:Do you get all previous stuff you get a focusrite interface today?

When you put Sigmund in your basket on D16 site you can't reedem the code?pekbro wrote:Thx focusrite/D16...
Very nice, unless you happened to already have Sigmund, which I didn't.
Also for the coupon, haven't figured out how that works though.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

how on earth do I reset the spread knob to 0 ??
double click, command, alt or control clicks are doing nothing.
holding shift isn't fine enough to get it back to centre.
why on earth i wonder
