Hi,

I'm going to hold FL Studio-courses in october & december.
Therefore I'm looking for one or two free VSTis, which I could use for my followers
to introduce the magic of VSTs :-o

Does anybody know any, if there are any allowed to be used eg in courses and maybe burned on cd afterwards for followers?
I would hand out a link-list with developer's web-adress, maybe they would check it out...

That would be sooo nice :)

Just download it on each computer, or if you don't want to do that, just copy it and don't tell the plugin creator.

I would contact each individual developer to get their okay. I would think that, although most developers would not to give carte blanche to allo other people to redistribute their free software, I would think they would be happy to have it provided free of charge to your students.

You're welcome to use Leto, my SX1000 emulation:

It's nothing special, but as you can see from the picture it's very easy to understand - so it's maybe useful for introducing the basics of ADSRs and LFOs etc. if you are teaching people that have never used VSTis before.

SubDuer was originally made to teach my own students about subtractive synthesis. Is it good for teaching? I dunno, haven't gotten around to it yet. It does have an easy layout with images for filtershapes and waveforms though and it handles most of the classic subtractive synth features.

Thx a lot, Topaz! :)

Will put the clavinet or the Klangfilter (good fx-practise, good plug!)
The Klangfilter is easier to install through the network, since the clavinet need's a certain windows folder for the wave-tables.., will check this out!

And will put a link in the hand-out to your site!!

why don't you use synthedit to creat vst and vsti especially for the course? don't you think your students would appreciate your guidance in this freeware facility? :D
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

Thank you very much,Majken! :)

Subduer is a nice synth and it'll be a pleasure for me to share it with the students.
Right now I don't know if they know anything about subtractive synthesis ( Have to confess I don't know them actually, but will in October!), your synth is a very good starting point !!

Will make a link to your site in the students hand-out!

xoxos, great!Thank you! :)

Don't know if the Gui is so important (but ok, I know that's another thing, which is often discussed),
sure it's non-commercial use)
I only want the students to get to know some VST-Plugs exploring for themselves hopefully they will be teased and triggered 8)

That would be another course ;), but I wouldn't be able to hold this, I'm a dumb user and composer, didn't manage to learn SynthEdit til now

Last but not least, the course is about learning FL Studio and learning how to use and manage VSTis inside, so it's mainly for vst-newbies (I guess)

Will put a link in the hand-out to your site!!

I do, though I'm puzzled since nobody has had problems in FLStudio yet, and there are a few users pushing it to the limit...
