The MS website say that WMP support 24 bit, but I can not get it to play it.
QCD seems like a good option.

Foobar can play any audio file, be it 16,24 or 32bit, through dithering of various kinds, through ASIO, directx, WDM, if you want, through convolver [reverb, eq, amp impulses] or whatever, in any output format, be it 16,24,32bit floating or fixed point... it's the best player out there.
I must admit it doesn't look that nice, however it is highly functional, especially for those who encode a lot of files as it supports all encoders there are like MP3,AAC,AC3,FLAC,OGG,Wavpack, Monkey Audio... I personally prefer AC3 [nice], FLAC [lossless] and lame [good name
] MP3 for my MP3 player.
get it at www.foobar2000.com
Cheers.

Here's another vote for Winamp + MPC. When I watch stuff with subtitles and multiple audio streams, there's no substitute for Media Player Classic, and it has the simplest interface I've ever seen. And when listening to mp3's and such, I always like to add some mild compression and limiting, so I've got the Kjaerhus Classic series wrapped into DX plugins, and then run those in a Winamp DirectX wrapper. A bit messy, but it sure sounds better than any Winamp DSP effects I've heard.

Nope. QCD does not play it. Just installed QCD and I still get an "unrecognised format" error.Sepheritoh wrote: QCD seems like a good option.
