Replace the 'bg.png' in the resource folder (I can get to this on mac pretty easily. Not sure how this works on PS
Thanks a lot for that. This helps, the synth sounds immediately much better...; - )

Hi!

This is my first OSC posting. I really like the synth, runs totally stable here in reaper .. Let's see what happens .. :)

Does the new skin come with the Jasinski-Every Sound You'll Ever Need Vol.2 preset pack? :D

Been messing with Crust today. IMO, double up the oscillators for a total of four, add 2-4 routable lfo's and env's and this synth would be done. (easier said than done, I'm sure). It's a very intuitive and great sounding synth as it is, though.

Is there a way to get the noise to go through the filters?

And yes, hello to you both. Welcome to the OSC, Megadance, and nice to see you back for another go, Aro!

Hit me with a sandstone hoodoo and watch me roll! What are the longest tracks some of you veterans have submitted to OSC? Crust's possibilities are sending me in so many directions right now - so I'm thinking something like a 20 minute montage will do (kidding!). :hyper: :D

The longest I have seen is around 13 minutes in just over a year of competing. It made the top 5, so length is not an issue as long as it holds the interest of the listener (many long tracks do not). Just speaking for me, I target shorter tracks and leave extra ideas on the cutting room floor for future competitions as my time is very limited these days.

13 minutes - that's pretty gutsy! Excellent strategy, by the way :) . The challenge here is that many of the ideas are so specific to Crust - it can produce some fantastic rhythm loops that can't be replicated in other synths. A luxury problem, to be sure!

False warning?

Yep, it's normal Windows Defender behavior. You can check at virustotal.com

Some further notes along the way: 1eqinfinity confirmed my feeling that the slow attack envelopes need some adjustment, but apart from that adsr is so easy to work with - of all the synths I've tried in OSC, Crust surprisingly feels like the most reliable and stable - no unexpected clicking problems at all along the envelope edges, solid hard attack. Poly also very predictable on ram use. Generally just a breeze to work with - no unexpected artifacts or behaviour, easy to eq, rich sound... you can sign me up as a Crust fanboy!

Btw, isn't there a little quiet here on the forum so far? Perhaps the "pre-alpha" tag caused some people to skip this round? That would be a pity, I think Crust will bring out some great tracks.

Yeah personally, I would put it at least in alpha, if not beta. More features can simply be a '1.X' thing.
