Bummer.
Was hoping you would have a working link so I could start using it. :(
Please post if you find a good replacement.
My searching has yielded few that work well in my system.
All I see are 32bit's.. really annoying.

I'll keep looking.

Might have to skip this months challenge at this rate... :?

OK.. it's a simple (and ugly) filter, and I already had it in my collection of freebies:

...but it seems to get the job done. No bells and whistles like the others though.

I'm getting similar results to both the (buggy) on-board S1 filter.. and the (apparently not free at all anymore) BiFilter2.

It'll get me through this month anyway.. :P

Maybe it'll work for you as well.

Thanks, I will have to try it out. Definitely need all the tricks I can come up with to try and do something with an FM synth since I just don't get the concept.

I like http://www.stagecraftsoftware.com/products/autofilter/ the few times I have messed with it, though it seems to keep forgetting the registration. :?

pluginboutique has compiled a nice assortment of links to freebies (effects, instruments, studio tools). You can add them to your 'free' list, and download them directly.. if you have an account. A lot are 32bit though.

Gonna give MAX 1 a shot on the next challenge:

BiFilter2 looks amazingly cool. https://www.tone2.com/bifilter2.html

However I can't seem to find a free version that falls within the rules, specifically...
....
...

I see where BiFilter2 was once free in CM magazine but I can't find where it free to all currently.
Do you have a link where it is freely available?
Available.

So, I guess sometime between then and now.. it stopped being free.

Figures.. now I gotta look for another (actual) freebie filter vst. :?
May be you need not look for another option.

What an amazing idea "web archive" is!

BiFilter by Tone2 is available here.

The free "old version of bifilter" is about as sketchy as the free "old version of camel crusher" lol
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

I started having to put gates on a few things, because of a constant hissing noise on a few instruments I was using it on.

I thought it was the actual synth.. it wasn't. It was BiFilter.

So, yeah.. certainly in terms of quality, "sketchy". Regarding legality?.. also, yeah.

Another stupid question incoming.... :D

Is commenting on soundcloud mandatory?

Not at all :tu:

Thanks for a quick reply, phew, that saves me a lot of time .... :)

Of course, if there's something you think needs a comment, then it will be welcomed by the artist. Even a criticism or how you think something might be bettered does help - it's a learning process for us all, and guidance from others is the main driving force for change.

But, to comment or not to comment - the choice is yours!

Made my votes, though I missed it.

Yeah I'm well aware about the value of comments.. I'm just a bit preoccupied at the moment, so apologies for the lacking feedback... :(

That's OK. Only making a general comment, not pointing fingers! Been busy this month too designing and building a new bathroom with my bro-in-law for my house. Just finished today. I have still to do a lot of commenting anyway and the sun's out too - wonder what that warm yellow thing in the sky is?

Voted!

I really enjoyed listening to everyones work this month, we have a lot of great and diverse artists here and I really like watching some of the newer artists grow more skilled month by month.

Thanks welcoming into this cool group.
