Awww, I'm reduced to my looks? Low blow! It's great to have a beard if you want to stroke it while thinking hard about something.
Just kidding about it, no offense meant. ;) I think you're always doing a great job in presenting the new Reason features. :tu:

Hehehe. I'm only in my 40's, but, i also like it when things are a bit bigger. I get a headache, and dry eyes when i need to strain my eyes too much (guess everyone does).

WillReason 10 Intro/Lite be updated to buy/play the new Players?

And if so, will they get the sample loading features of Europa?
Yes, Intro and Lite will also be updated to 10.1, support the new SDK and get the new version of Europa.

Unfortunately until Reason is scalable I'm out as I cant see it on my monitor.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Yes, I'd love to use Reason, but unfortunately it is unusable in my 4K display. Reason needs to catch up.

Thanks for another nice presentation, Mattias. It's really great to see that PH opens up the rack even further with new SDK stuff. :tu:

Would be super cool to have some API scripting implemented as well (Lua?) in future releases, so that one could automate and customize the workflow to a larger extent.

And yeah, hopefully Reason will also go future-proof with a vectorized rack for high-DPI setups. 8)

Still no 4K display. :(

I bet there is still no automatically returning playing cursor.. I don't know how hard it is to do.. Few line of code and it would make so many happy... Or midi chase.. Sigh...

Post

I don't find Reason's graphics capability a hindrance anymore now that we have 4k. However its borderline horrible constantly playing musical chairs with 3 windows <=1080p.

43" 4k at 100%, 10+ sequencer lanes, 10+ mixer channels, 3 side-by-side racks (and I hate Reasons' file browser but its showing as some people use it). Incredibly workable and quite easy on the eyes.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Have you tried Vital?

Post

I can manage Reason on a single monitor with the Mixer/Rack/Sequencer Function keys.

Hey Psuper, a little off topic - is that the Blue Sky 2.1 system? If so how do you like it?

Post

Nice eyes Winston, yep that's their Media Desk from... oh man 12 years ago or so? I love the system, truly. I know familiarity makes all the difference however I've never been disappointed -- they still sound as clear and neutral to my ears as they did when I first got them.

I don't want to sound greedy but could you please stop this time limited bullsh*t when you want to do something good for your users? Just add it to the accounts of all existing users for gods sake. This way also loyal customers would get some love from you even if they don't permanently scan all social media channels for free stuff.

The anger that a user feels when he doesn't get something that other people get for free is much stronger than the nice feeling that they have when they actually get something for free. At least I felt that way. Every time.

Offers are time limited, sometimes you miss one of them, no big deal. Free for a month or so is more than fair. In the end PH is a company that need to make money to survive so offers are a part of the marketing game....

And come on, feeling anger?

If you're on Windows, then just right-click on the desktop and increase Windows scaling - Reason will follow that. It's far from perfect (as the picture gets smeared / blurry because it zooms into a smaller bitmap), but it's usable, at least until they offer a real solution - I mean it's not possible they're NOT working on this.
