Support I got through email was great. The best support I got, actually. One of the reasons my post history became 99% Ableton.

Why do you ask for support on a exhibition??? Those are not even support employees.

Did he go there to get support from Arturia, ableton and Steinberg?

Regarding ableton email support, they don't at least charge for license transfer and it was smooth.

A pattern emerges:

Sure since years flu then?

Bullshit!!!!

They couldnt help on the booth either.
Caine123 wrote:Back from superbooth and i can tell you.... Yes still interested in the 3 new synths but the 2 arturia guys were such marketing puppets and bullshitting marketing shit and telling they support also v5 etc i could have punched against the wall.... P
Meanwhile, in a bar in Berlin, some audio reps are talking:

"Superbooth's OK but, jeez, are there some prissy douchebags wandering around."

"Tell me about it."

Ableton support has always been very good to me. Of course its generally
gone like this:

Me: (bitching like a prissy douchebag) I'm upset about something
your company has done, that I feel, in some way affects me negatively.

Support: I'm sorry to hear that, would this free (NFR) license,
or healthy discount voucher make you feel better?

Me: Yes, thank you...

-End

I've never actually had a technical issue with them, but there
have been a few incidents based on general principles.

Post

Ableton does have very good support. There is no doubt in that one!

If you came to superbooth to ask for tech support you are way of the mark there.

Post

Fact is that arturia is known for bad shit and the guys i met there were totally giving me the same feeling only marketing blabla and there was also some supporter from them so dont bullshit me.

Steinberg also had a supporter and were just uncomfortable as i could see their reactions immediately.

Ableton i own not so pardon me i didnz ask technical support. I asked them about piano roll. Plugin crash protection etc as i was very interested and the guy was like try the demo instead of making it tasty for me thats what they were there and making stupid ironic comments about bitwig.... so this is the full story. Thats why i asked here and if 1 guy sucks doesnt mean the whole conpany sucks so im glad support is great. Dont want a 2nd steinberg! Especially with a daw.

Pardon me if some see a pattern but are blended by narketing crap. Got enough experiences with some companies even in person

But I guess their advice is solid: try the demo and see if the software works for you.

I've been using daw software for 18 years, and never ever needed support from the developers of any daw, not even a single email for support. If I have an issue, I figure it out myself.

How is Ableton support?
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Thx guys. I definitely will demo it too. Have to build some massive testprojects with latency and crashy plugins and see how it will work and the workflow

It has nice workflow to fix long audio clip's tempo. Find down beat then 'Set 1.1.1' and 'Warp from Here' boom. It saves so much time to do it manually.

I've only had positive experiences with the Ableton support so far. On the phone or by e-mail.
