I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, but please don't take it personally Will. Rene's algorithms are a labour of love, and he will emphatically correct any disinformation about them. If he has been a little aggressive with you, it is only because he is defending years of work. At least, that's how I interpret his words...WilliamK wrote:You should really think about this and wonder a bit, your attitude was not nice at all...René wrote:Can wusikstation load wave samples? WilliamK, you're the first person to upset me this year. Congratulations.Rene, sorry to say, but I think you have a serious problem. I was being nice, just asking what went wrong there. And you come with a very arrogant reply...
LOL this is so funny. You made a test to show the world how good your interpolation was, and how better it was compared to sfz's. Then you realize you made a huge blunder, and you remove it.
And that's not all: you pretend that 'I was being nice, just asking what went wrong?'. Please don't insult my intelligence.
I'll say it again: a guy who want to be nice with me, please stop talking shit about my products. I asked you to remain within ethic limits, and you just didn't hear. I never ever asked you for a review of sfz.
I don't know whay you did that about sfz, I never talked about a product of yours privately or publicly.
I just find pathetic to say that 'sfz sounds filtered', and that the graphics are 'so fancy that makes you upset', just because you don't f**king understand the graphics at all or because you just can't get good results yourself.
I never said I'm not an arrogant person. Never ever. Perhaps I am, and perhaps it's a faulty part.Man, I never saw so much arrogance, too bad users don't see that too...
However, I don't apply my arrogance to everyone. I reserve it to the people who talk shit about my products while living in complete ignorance, and I add a bonus percentage when it is another developer who does it. It's just a healthy excersize of my rights.
Don't worry about what other users see, it's the second time you seem to need some 'company' on your endeavours.
Perhaps it's just that you're that genius you mentioned and I'm not seeing it, remaining in the completely mistaken idea that you're a complete asshole. Hopefully I'll see the light some day.
Sorry everyone about the rant, but sometimes you have to talk white and black.

It seems pretty clear to me that William is seeing this as a chat room with buddies whilst other developers don't think so.
Maybe you guys should discuss in a more private way...

It might be my paranoia, but you posted this earlier today:I don't know why Rene had the idea I was trying to dish SFZ. Actually, I was using it as an example on how to make my own stuff sound good.
That sounds like propaganda to me. Then you did the test, right? Too bad it failed...But I find one thing a bit odd, is that SFZ sounds "filtered". Indeed. It takes care of aliasing. But I wonder, won't that also remove frequencies we "want" I guess I have to do a test and prove that.
There's nothing bad in spotting problems in sfz. If you take a look at 'The sfz thread', you'll see there 29842938492 problems spotted, most of them fixed by now. Those were REAL problems.BUT, do you still think that those graphics are being fair to all programers. If Rene got all that upset when he though that I said SFZ had problems, imagine what others could think about theyre own programs?
What I mean as REAL problems are problems that everyone can reproduce, and not problems generated by a faulty test of a developer of the competition.

It's removed now. I have also put the results for current Wusikstation version.WilliamK wrote:Tracktion for example, was updated, and doesn't sound like that graphic anymore, so please, George, remove it until you can test the new version.

Yes, however since your discussion with Rene I felt like making the analisys right now, just to put things on perspective.WilliamK wrote:So I ask you to remove NOW Wusikstation tests. I told you that I was updating it. And I DID today. Already testing with users.and you said you would wait.......
