I've been looking around on ebay and have noticed that there are lots of sample CDs there for cheap. Are these legal? If so, are they any good?

Some links to what I'm talking about:

I would probably buy dfh Superior for the best sounding rock drums. As for those, I bought a CD off Ebay once, and some sounds didn't work. Others weren't useful. I think getting dfh Superior is a better idea. The legal issue - I wouldn't worry about them being legal, it's not like I have no illegal stuff on my computer.

Hi!

Some of them might be original, but...

Problem is that whn you buy a sample CD, most often you do not buy the sounds but the LICENSE to use them in your works and that LICENSE cannot be sold by a third person to you, only the ORIGINAL owner of the copyright xan do that...

Hope this helps to sort out the 'legal' stuff...

You know there is another drum library on it's way out for a reasonable price...

check the Lastufka company forum here on KVR. We have some cool plugins (crossplatform soon too!) coming out q1 2005, along with some free synthedit jobbies within the month.
