These were given away for free vie a raffle a few years ago.. the VT1 & RC500, so for myself and many others at least... there isn't anything new added other than having the feature parts slices off individually and put into the new effects rack unit introduced in 3.5, and toggle I/O buttons in the mixer channel. (I dunno if you get them for free if you didn't have them before).

In any case I guess that makes them more effective to be used in isolation with lower CPU draw.. who knows. The cost of the full EQ set is nuts though... an EQ is an EQ to me, I don't get the colour my sound fad.. but that's probably a topic for the Effects forum. Will any of them be included in Studio One 4.0 ?...maybe. A pre cursor of what may drop in a few weeks... these daw developers are moving in strange ways these days...

they should integrate the freq analyser into the fat channel eq

and make it possible to minimise / reduce the size of the entire fat channel as well as each individual component

Yep, 3 versions of SO4 there...although working with a cursor that size for me, would be a total nightmare for me I think

...

Nice catch... the mystery continues on what SO4 is yet to deliver... it doesn't look like we have long to find out... 2 years between 3.0 and 3.5 and one year between 3.5 and 4.0... releases.

I hope 4.0 isn't still dragging it's heals with 2.0 dated instrument and FX devices....

I really hope they improve the look of it. I can't stare at it for any length of time with it's flat, no depth GUI. It's a million times worse than Ableton Live...

The only thing that I want is delay compensation for hardware instruments.
I don't care much about other stuff and I'm fine with the UI.

Quite possibly the highest viewed ( 52K ) / and post counted thread (162... almost the same as this one) for any release of Studio One in less than a year.... and this one is all about Studio One 4.0...

Besides this thread, it will be fascinating to compare what was and what isn't revealed when comparisons are made in the next 2 weeks....

......there could be anarchy, riots on the street..torches and pitchforks, people throwing their laptops out the window... ..Presonus's website could suffer a meltdown... who knows... but what is pretty certain, this update isn't likely to be free...or is it.... ?
