Oh, didn't even think of the "mount to wall" option. That's a solution, for sure. Usually, i'm also all for big displays, but, space is a bit tight here. The largest i'd be able to put on my desk is probably a 27" (I'm using a 24" at the moment), but, that'd probably already use up the space i need for my wi-fi antenna and my audio interface.

You can buy 50 inch 1080p panels brand new & shipped for $250 USD these days:

Wall mounts are pretty cheap as well.
Or pick up a refurb'd 40" for just $180 USD and slap it on a wall mount:

Yeah that was a great deal, even at 6 yrs old the Bravia is a kick ass TV. I got thatEnGee wrote: $50?! Wow! That is insane price! I doubt that I can find such a bargain here in NZ, but I'll search TradeMe today! I don't have enough space but with such a price I might force it to fit in

was a 65 in as well, he wanted $100 for that, but that was a little too big. I probably
should have bought them both actually. Paid for it with 200 quarters interestingly,
his bank has a coin counter that he likes to go down and use...

I'm trying to convince my mother to let me have her old 43" TV (in the living room) and buying her a new one, but she said she is fine!
I really don't know! I'm looking if I can find a 32" monitor with FHD resolution, but it is not easy to find one. For a TV I don't know really! I need to decide first between a monitor and TV!

I know it's not important to a lot (most?) of people, but I really appreciate when my tools - DAW, plugins, etc. - are pleasing to the eye, as it really helps me get inspired, focus and organise. That's why I always had issue with powerful, yet graphically underdeveloped programs like Buzz (years ago) or Usine (more recently).
I don't understand your reasoning here. If I had a 4K display, that would only make Reason even harder to use; it would be tiny at the native resolution of a 4K display. I certainly wouldn't use a 4K display at a lower-than-native resolution, which results in blurry pixels (on LCD displays). As for a giant 40" display, I don't have the space or the money. The fact is, Reason's rack design was made at a low pixels-per-inch resolution, based on CRT and LCD displays in the late 90s and early 2000s. Continuing to look at blurry stuff on computer screens at low PPI is not something I'm willing to do. The problem is Propellerhead's. I'm not going to work around their unwillingness to redraw their graphics larger.Psuper wrote:If you're serious about Reason, you'll get the 40+" 4k, or 2 monitors. I know its unrealistic for most people to purchase a specific monitor to use an app they love, just depends on how much you truly love that app...
Hopefully, their new/current designs are being made in higher resolution and it's only older Reason rack devices that need to be redrawn from scratch. It would be nice if they would talk about this issue.

Sadly I had to give up using Reason pretty much because it's unusable in my 27 inch, 4k screen..or it's usable if scaled, but then it looks horrible. If Propellerhead updates Reason's GUI to keep up with modern times, then I will consider using Reason again. Meanwhile, Ableton Live 10 with its new HiDPI support looks glorious!

I had a massive following on the props forums after I posted the mockups, among other popular posts before they destroyed their forums. Direct email to companies is indeed almost always a waste, though I did send suggestions after overwhelming community support as that's the only way to be taken seriously.Jace-BeOS wrote:Most companies will reject unsolicited content as a matter of default business.Psuper wrote:I spent 12+ years emailing props, spending hours upon hours creating killer photoshopped gui perfectly workable, all down the drain when props shut down their forum (another bad move, but that's for another day and another dead horse).Jace-BeOS wrote:It's definitely a beautiful design, IMO. If you want anything noticed or done, you put a ton of work into the planning process and gradually build up posts so you don't scare the fannies or incite the haters and see what the community genuinely begins to think about it. Exactly like I did on RT - and now Propellerhead are, for the time being, in the direction they need to go.
Apparently you haven't read this thread, specifically my posts where I already addressed everything you just stated, I won't repeat it unless you chime in needing more explanation.Jace-BeOS wrote:I don't understand your reasoning here.
