I would like to get the special on SS2 as I already own ST2 XL
Will this mean I only get the sounds? (which is fine with me, as I found the GUI intrinsically the same)
Also, what do I telll the store to do? They do not usually carry a supply of IK stuff as they order it on demand.
And any ideas as to the cost, both the reduced and full price? (US dollars good to compare even though Im in Canada)

SS2 special for ST2 XL owners?

Well, you can always buy the full version for whatever they discount it for in the store when it is out. As far as cross-grades or upgrades for this one it will have to be direct. We can't overload the stores with tons of special upgrade skus. It gets too confusing and also in the case of the Sonic Synth 1 to Sonik Synth 2 upgrade it is more complex to administer because of the way Sonic Synth 1 had to be registered... only the LE part was registered.
So, the only way we can do upgrades from Sonic Synth 1 is to do it directly thru SR. Even IK won't be doing that upgrade. However, both SR and IK will be offering for a limited time a discounted cross-grade for SampleTank 2 XL users. In a way, you could consider it a "I don't need the engine, I just want the sounds" kind of thing. Although the good news is that we're giving the plug-in and unique interface in the upgrade too. You can point to its sounds with your ST2 or you can use your SS2 interface or both.
You can crossgrade or upgrade if you own either Sonic Synth 1 or SampleTank 2 XL. But you qualify for one or the other (the crossgrade or the upgrade, you can't anything extra for having both SS1 and ST2) and either the crossgrade or the upgrade is the same price of $199. There won't be any way of getting it for less than that (apart from having ePointz of course) but this is a nice half price discount for a limited time. In fact, SR will be doing pre-orders for just the upgrade through www.esoundz.com (not for the full version yet, just for the upgrade because only SR is doing it anyway and we'd like to have it organized as much as possible before it is released and so we can also reward our loyal Sonic Synth 1 customers with a first opportunity to get it as well)... so this could be as early as next week. Sonik Synth 2 will ship some time in October.

Hmmmm, this is a tough choice: Squids Tron Collection, or SS2 upgrade?

Well, Sonik Synth 2 upgrade will be available for a limited time but that is still at least 3 months. Squids tron collection will only be available for the next 2 weeks or so and that's it (at least in that compilation version with ALL of the stuff it has).PaintedBlue wrote:Hmmmm, this is a tough choice: Squids Tron Collection, or SS2 upgrade?
