So will the owners of the original plug outs ever get these changes? I own the 101 and it’s still at v1.07. The plugin seems to be its own application that has its own icon in the taskbar and stays in front of other applications when you switch to another program. And steals the keyboard from the host. It’s overall just a lot crappier than the cloud version.

That's a good question. Knowing Roland, probably not :/

It's theft. You can call them all the names in the book and all they can do is say: Yes you are right.Echoes in the Attic wrote:So will the owners of the original plug outs ever get these changes? System-8 patch-browser has undo/redo with control+z and control+shift+z...btw
I wonder: A sound with mono-note-seq set to unison and 8 voices (settings) will get thinner when you set it to 4 voices. Does it happen on the hardware, too? (when u go into layer/split mode? = 4 voice set-up)

Nevermind, Problem was not with Roland, rather a screen cast program on my PC was messing with the startup on the Cloud (And messing the startup on my video-games as well), Uninstalling the faulty program fixed things. All is well. As for my opinions on the synths things seem to be getting muuuuuch better then they originally were, the Lower CPU usage, Offline usability and Better UI's are a huuuuge improvement.Spencer Maddox wrote:For some reason 5.2 Crashes on me wherever its opened (Trial). The new updates are good, the poly plugouts look much better, but the monos while better are still not as clear as they should be. They also doesn't have the reduce CPU option.
Now they need better browsers and lower that price point to get me in.

I don't know if people already noticed, but the latest updated solved the problem with the tiny GUIs in Jupiter-8 and Juno-106 (at least).
They now zoom perfectly (no more "blurring" effect). I can work perfectly at 150% or more. Gra+hics remain crisp and perfectly detailed
I presume all the other GUIs got updated too because ALL the older plug-ins had an update when I logged in yesterday (I was absent for a week).
EDIT: Seems like the other problematic GUIs were not updated, and still get "blurred" when zoomed
EDIT 2: Seems like I am late to the party

The System8 also has the gui update, but the old mono synths do not... but at least everything now has linear knobs...

Yes, I noticed. Glad to see that the Roland Cloud joint-venture at least keeps up with the updates (something Roland always revealed many difficulties).beely wrote:The System8 also has the gui update, but the old mono synths do not... but at least everything now has linear knobs...

Yeah, it's nice they are keeping it up with updates. Who knows, perhaps enhanced GUIs for other synths weren't yet ready and there'll be another update down the line for all of them. Then it'll be really nice.
But I gotta say that their preset browsers are craaaaaaaaaap.

The latter is not responsible for the sales done by the former, and Roland Cloud is not selling plug-ins.

This is a big black mark against Roland as a company...

I remember they already said that the plugins from the content store won't get updates, yep terrible customer experience.
