I think chord track (on the whole song including poly audio) is enough for me to upgrade and stop using Cubase chord track which now looks very primitive in comparison.
Integrated stem sequencer looks great, a proper step sequencer....can’t wait to try this on my surface.
A real sampler, finally some one has integrated a real sampler! Looks like this. Any be better than Cubase sample track (which to be fair I like) ant wait to try it.
O mention of ARA2, but that is designed to work with chord tracks so maybe that how they put chord tracks on audio....more videos to watch....
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Drum editor, finally!!! And S1 v4 already seems to be available.
Actually, I wanted to buy a Quantum 2 interface today but now I think I better wait until after the live event. They introduced new hardware with the launch of S1 v3, so perhaps they will announce new hardware later today, too?!

So far it seems really nice, new Sample One XT with integrated recording and new filter types + step sequencer is huge positive surprise for me. It was so obvious yet no other DAW makes this combo easy as new S1, not even Ableton Live.
However, I really hope they did fix/update some of quirks/unfinished features from Studio One 3.x like automation of macro controls, perhaps further improved paralell processing FX, improved MIDI editing capabilities, better searching and organizing of plugins etc.
I guess we will find out soon enough...
One of downsides which I am not sure if they improved is resolution of waveform, which still looks like it's stuck back in blocky Cubase SX3 era and I really hope they upgraded it.

Sorry just seemed rather underwhelming really to me. The new features aren't things I would use. But then again there's not much more I need from it, was hoping for notation but I guess they want to keep selling Notion (better integration would help). Still no bezier automation?SLiC wrote:Seriously? Tough crowd! I also have Notation and agree- from the chord track clip it did look ike intigtarion may be tighter (they chnaged a chord in an audio multitrack and then hit a buton and Notation pronted out the new aranament with the audio notatated with the new chord!)aMUSEd wrote:Sorry just seemed rather underwhelming really to me. This seems to be a good update for songwriters, maybe not so much for producers- I am the former so for me the chord function looks realy special.

Special? Didn't they just steal the concept from Toontrack's EZkeys?SLiC wrote:This seems to be a good update for songwriters, maybe not so much for producers- I am the former so for me the chord function looks realy special.

Does EZkeys transpose polyphonic audio to any key and allow you to print out the notation as a score? That's what I find impressible (everyone does midi, even CubaseGrabtharsHammer wrote:Special?
