i want to merge multiple files into each other.

for instance...

monoleft01
monoleft02
monoleft03

and

monoright01
monoright02
monoright03.

i have about 700 files i want to combine like this.

i would like a program that will do this, you can load multiple waves on one side, it will order them numerically, and then the same on the other side, and then combine to 2 sides..

get it???

I hope im clear..

anyone that can push me in the right direction, thanks :)

Convert both sets of files to stereo. Pan the files named *left.wav hard left, and similarly for the ones named *right.wav. Mix them together. SoX ( sox.sourceforge.net ) may be useful. Alternatively you could script it in Cool Edit/Adobe Audition.

I can write a Perl script to do it for a small price ;)
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

how would you go about scripting it in cool edit?

I could write the app for you quite easily (i.e. I already have and use it all the time... it just doesnt merge).. but aint gonna do it for free, too busy :P
