Making music vs Performing It

I don't usually grunt when I press buttons in my DAW (well, sometimes, when I've re-recorded the same vocal six times and I keep missing my marks), but I occasionally scream obscenities at various computer programs and electronics (music or otherwise). The verbal abuse never seems to make anything fall in line. I wish I enjoyed the process even a little. This is another reason I'm unlikely to ever be a performer. Maybe when it's all written and practiced to perfection, it could be fun to at least sing.
