I'm sure you are all very aware of what Avenger is and what it can do at this point. But for those who aren't, or for those of you who are, like me, composers first, here's a look at what it is like to create an expressive patch from the initial preset, and what you are going to be looking at if you want to make some changes to an existing presets, or create one from scratch.

It is kind of a testament to how well put together the synth is that I was able to do this stuff on the fly. I did not plan this ahead of time, but literally every idea I came up with, I was able to implement right then and there. As a guy who usually gets pretty lost or flustered at some of the archaic inner modulations of some of the more emulation based plugins, this one seems really user friendly. (Though, I did have to ask KVR for how I would go about adding vibrato, haha).

I want to do some more videos on this in the future, adding my own samples to Avenger and messing with their super saw detuning on them, and maybe mangling some of their presets the more I learn how to use this thing.

A heaping dose of outrageously goofy synth tracks, scores and chiptunes.

:tu: allright, I'll get in touch with Rene then.
Sorry if I came across as too bitchy, that wasn't my intent, I do have genuine intentions.

@Norrin:
in your video@min 16: you can actually do it, noticed the orange square in the modmatrix on the right side? Thats the Lag. Open this to smooth out your aftertouch. Furthermore you seem to use version prior to 1.3.5. This version will hold another surprise in the modmatrix: You can now define if a modulation movement is linear, logarhitmic or whatever curve you want

Dubstep for Avenger, last 3 expansions for Nexus all bigroom-ish, welcome to 2015. I'm seriously confused about the market right now. Or someone lost really bad the contact with current mainstream music. :?:

Probably not as confused as I am. What should Vengeance be releasing? Dance music has been eating itself for a number of years but there's no doubt some pixel-width of space that some new named thing is currently trending in.

BTW, nice to see a few positive posts lately as it has rather turned into moaners corner here. I don't think Avenger is perfect, but I still very much like its overall approach and feel.

For the first time I don't get the move at all. I purchased all Avenger EDM expansions (excepted psytrance), but I must say I see absolutely no purpose for Dubstep sounds today. The way I see it, Dubstep died 4 or 5 years ago, and everytime people talk to me about Dubstep now, it's to make fun of it.
I totally get that you're not forced to produce Dubstep with your Dubstep expansion, but the sounds of Dubstep are very, very limited and highly recognizable...
Maybe I'll change my mind after listening to the demo enough times...
Anyway it's nothing more than one more expansion in the list, so no big drama imo.
Please don’t read the above post. It’s a stupid one. Simply pass.

i don´t care if dubstep may be dated but the vid inspired me.

May be futile, but however :) : The release of an expansion is not a poll, what we should have released instead, neither we ask, what genre you like better. Without wanting to sound bumptious, but after 20 Years in the business, I think we are able to decide what sells, and what not. If you dont like a specific genre, or do not produce it at all, then just dont buy. Really, thats ok :D But however you should be honest and able to pay tribute if something within its genre is quality made or not. We dont want to sell a dubstep xp to a chill out musician. We have a wide spectrum of genres as you can see in our shop, or in the nexus shop. Every genre will get multiple of XPs, but since there are many genres out there, rotating will take a bit of time. And this time, it was dubstep time. And its a hell of a xp, its so agressive but at the same time smooth - some of these vocals robot drones it blew my mind. Sounds like they are actually shouting something. Can be used for all "harder" genres or EDM beside Dubstep of course.
Btw, next XP is the complete opposite: an Retrowave 80s XP.

A step away from the Nexus/EDM image which pours out everywhere (your synth serves everybody, but the image is too narrow), a more pleasing and beautiful UI, some additions and tadaaa: 2.0: you'd rule the instrument world. Endless money.
I guess ;-)

The UI is a big no-no.

Since endless money isnt our goal: We dont want to step away from the EDM image. I love EDM, and I love other genres like cinematic, too. The UI will stay as it is. Additions however will come in masses, we have plenty of ideas ;)

...and for many of us, one of the biggest attractions of the synth.

(we're really still having this conversation on p482?!)

The UI makes perfect sense here.

Crafting sounds has never been so easy.
