Probably. Add Stratum to that and you'll see a big sticker "Get $400 worth software for free" on every AKAI package

I watched Plugin Boutique's videos for this today and I was not impressed with the sound. Then I come here and learn it's going to cost $250?? That's going to be a hard pass for me even before reading about their customer service issues here.

No worries here. It'll be quite some time before anyone tackles Loomer String and Solina V.

$49 will get you the IK Syntronik 'String Box' module. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/synstringbox/

Syntronik’s String Box offers a collection of classic string machines including the Arp String Ensemble, Elka Rhapsody, Hohner String Performer, Roland RS-505 and RS-09. Manufactured from 1974-1981, the ARP String Ensemble uses divide-down organ technology to provide full polyphony.

The String Ensemble has 6 instrument sounds that can be combined. But its most distinctive element is its ensemble chorus that provides its lush, trademark sound. In addition to providing samples of the String Ensemble both with and without its ensemble chorus, Syntronik models the actual ensemble chorus effect so that it can be used on any sound in the library.

Windows 10; with instruments from AIR, Ample Sound, AAS, Cakewalk, IK Multimedia, iZotope, KV331, NI, SONiVOX, TAL, Tracktion, u-he, Way Out Ware, XLN, others...

There is a lot of Solina and string machines plugins: Arturia Solina V, Gforce VSM, EZKeys String Machine... All of them are cheaper than this one. Why would you buy a SONiVOX instrument that is more expensive than all of their competitors? You can even buy a Waldorf Streichfett for a few euros more!
