Interesting move, but not really surprising given the crippleware that Reason 10 Lite is.

Looks like daw players are pulling out their trump cards of late...with Presonus's direct focus of dance music / 64 step beat production angle with Studio One 4... :D

Will Korg merge Reason into one of their keyboards...like Native Instruments have done.. in the future... who knows...

Yes, exactly - I recently bought one of their super-inexpensive controllers (forgot how it's called) in order to be able to upgrade to the full version of Reason for super-cheap...

Stockholm, Sweden, May 28, 2018 – Korg and Propellerhead Software today announced a new partnership to offer Reason Lite for free with the purchase of select Korg hardware controllers.
They make it sound as if it didn't exist before, or was there a divorce at some point
and they got back together or something...

Personally... I've never bought anything Korg before.

The other limited versions of Reason were definitely crippleware.

For a "Lite" version, this has a crapload of features that other DAWlite versions can't hold a candle to.

I hear Presonus is coming up with a lite version in the near future. It'll be interesting to see how the two compare.
