I usually work in Sessions View and I would then like to live record the clips into the Arrangement View without recording automation in Ableton Live 9. Is this really not possible? I tried everything, but Ableton always record Automation Data into the Arrangement View in this case.

But this is not working when you record from Sessions View into the Arrangement View. Even with everything turned off, as soon as I move the volume fader in the Sessions View it get's recorded as Automation in that same Channel in the Arrangement View.inkwarp wrote:https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/autom ... envelopes/

If you have a Session View Clip playing in the track when recording from Session to Arrangement, it always records both the Clip and what you are manually tweaking (it says that in the Help panel if you hover over the Automation Arm button). Basically it counts as data coming from Session, so it is recorded like any other data.

So don't touch the faders/knobs or delete the unwanted automation lanes? How is that even an issue?
