i've tried searching high and low for an answer to this but a lot of the topics in KVR are a bit older or don't cover what i'm trying to find.

Is there any sampler plugin that is pretty close to the Simpler in Ableton? Specifically, the ability to slice and timestretch the slices with different warp modes. i use this function a lot for resampling vocals and guitars in pretty much every song, which makes it annoying trying to ReWire into Reaper every time i want a new guitar/vocal part.

i get the feeling i may just be married to Ableton...

No, there isn't.

Only Live has all those Warp modes, to start with.

Naysayers will try to argue about timestretching/pitchshifting "quality", ignoring that Live's multiple Warp modes have way more creative uses than just transparent timestretching/pitchshifting.

If you take Racks and the slicing workflow into consideration then it is even less possible to ever have a plugin that works like Simpler.

Plus:

Simpler has the Cytomic filters.

i really wish that Simpler had Ableton's bit crusher/reducer built in, placed before the filter. seriously can't believe that it doesn't, really disappointing. there would almost be no need for TAL Sampler and others if it did.

Is There Anything Like Ableton's Simpler in the VSTi World?
