Do not underestimate this sound tho (not saying You will, but still...). Those soundtracks may have sounded easy, but were produced with highest skill possible. Not only the songwriting was top notch (beyond anything that can be heard nowadays), but also production. Imo, they often practically almost skipped the subbass which I personally consider a popular cheat to make a poorly written/composed track sound good and full.
Also they took sound stacking to the whole new level. Literally nothing was too much. Listen to the piano on this one.
It sounds like a piano, while being in fact a wall of sounds. Also the drums are a result of multiple overdubs (90 times or more), they were stacking the drum sequence times and times again on top of each other.
Best of luck with the Retrowave expansion!

Retrowave is not Euro Italo Disco. Or it shouldn’t be, anyway.SouledOut wrote:Best of luck with the Retrowave expansion!msvs wrote:Btw, next XP is the complete opposite: an Retrowave 80s XP.

And that’s what happens when one forgots a word. Insert “only” between “not” and “Euro bla”.
Nice find on youtube, sums up pretty good the flavors of the 80s in all regards.

Could someone tell me what MIDI Polyphonic Count does in the Mod Matrix ?
I can't find an explanation in the manual. I am guessing that it counts the buildup of voices from the OSCs as you press more and more keys?
And what use could it have?
(maybe used to decrease resonance buildup ?)

exactly, the MIDI Polyphonic count increases the modulation amount, the more notes you play
you can use this for example for volume compensation. If a single notes volume is at 0.00dB, but if you press a chord, you will end above this. You can compensate with this modulation, the more notes you add, the more the volume is decreased.
A handy tool for sound designers, creating SQ presets for example

Hi msvs,
great would be MPE support or even note expression. Did you ever tried it? It opens a new dimension for fine tuning.

I'm importing samples into the Granular and they are not playing back at the right speed.
I've played with the speed dial, grain size, density etc...
What are some good tips to play the sample back at the correct speed?
(btw, the Retro 80s preset pack sounds very interesting!)
