So, you are looking for a function in a certain daw, or, whatever.

How to do a certain task eludes you.

The choice is to look in the help manual, or google it.

Googling the subject brings up all sort of helpful websites. They say they have the answer you are looking for. You want to get on, so you look for the quickest, most succinct, answer. Its not there, but a video on Youtube says it can help you.

Only, when you load it, its waffle - waffle - waffle.

Hi guys - how you doin - yo - its me again - welcome to my youtube channel ..............

If you are prepared to waste 20 minutes they may eventually answer the question...................

Or not.

This. :) I find most manuals, either in PDF form, or online, pretty good. At least for the DAW's i tried, especially Cubase and Studio One.

Reading up the product manual is simply the best tutorial on everything. No self centered ramble, only facts. That's how I found out how a compressor works.

Except Roland/Boss manuals. They must be part of 'getting hit on the head lessons.'

Roland usually has a quickguide. That's the one you read to get started. The thicker book you just use as a reference, but I used to read it when on a bus or train, thinking I will discover some secret setting to make killer sounds. Unless they've changed? All I know is I was most prolific when I just had the XP-50.

With YT tuts, you may get a post from somebody posting the time-link to when the tut really begins, so it pays to do a quick scroll first.
