Is Softube Modular compatible with macOS 10.13? I tried installing the demo but couldn't get it to work in Logic, the plugin didn't seem to be recognized.

I had the same issue. In fact none of my Softube plugins showed up in Logic (but did everywhere else - Reason, Numerology, Kore) ...until I shut down the computer completely and restarted. Strange as I never had to do this previously.

“Softube Modular the Tutorials part 12: the Buchla 259e unit” is available now:

2 hours and 40 minutes (and 54 seconds :-) ) full of explanations, demonstrations and experiments. Probably the most comprehensive guide to this twisted, crazy and complex west coast module you will find on the web (so far, 3 March 2018).

Sorry for reviving this thread, but....

Seeing as Softube's got all the Modular stuff on sale at the mo.
What are the must-get modules and which ones are skippable?

Not enough choice for me to see much in the way of alternatives, so I suspect most people Pokemon them.
An idiot on Set Theory:

On sale, but for how long? Couldn't find this crucial piece of information anywhere on their website - it's a bit messed up, admittedly. Anyone know???

Fabulous!

Haha....when they've raked in enough from the sale presumably

$37.99 (at Audiodeluxe) for the base plugin is hard to pass up, though...

It's a gateway drug ;)

Been playing with the demo all day, it's addictive so I started adding modules to my cart at Audio Deluxe and Plugin Boutique to compare prices and here's what I got  As well as the Modular I added the Heartbeat in both online stores..anyways I'm debating on Softube or Reaktor blocks. Quite a price difference when you compare £'s with the $ here.

Sale is until 30th june according to softube emails. I've bought most on previous sales and it's a nice package. Don't use it everyday, but once I start it up I always enjoy it and can loose hours creating all kinds of sounds ranging from basic to crazy endless drones and noises. So I consider it a money well spent. Still learning some of the modules (4ms PEG for example), but buchla and vactrol lpg are my favorites.

I bought only the basic Modular and Korgasmatron II (as I'm fan of Korg filters!). Together were for $74 which is a great price IMO. I think it will take long time before I look at other modules, but maybe next discount!

The nice surprise is that I don't have to use iLok! So, I chose Gobbler method instead. It seems friendlier than iLok as I just spotted one service running in the background. I don't know about how many authorisations are possible though!

The CPU usage is high but when I switched to High Performance power option, my Ryzen 1600X handled it very well :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.
