Which Amp Modeller For Sunn Model T

Been a couple years away (at least 3), so hi to everyone that is still here

I know Amplitube has a sun model but not the desirable ones like the beta lead and the model T, is there any Modeller with something similar (same for Traynor, Acoustic, Sound City and the f**king f**ker)

why are those amp never included even tho they are like the most sought after after the classics

Amp modeler plugins tends to emulate valve amps only, witch excludes the Sunn Beta Lead (Solid State).

There are 3 different Sunn Model T matched amps in the online cloud of Positive Grid Bias Amp 2.

I didn't try them yet.

Getting that iconic Sunn o))) THRUMMM ITB is going to need a very loud monitor or some clever modelling of feedback. Saw Boris last year. "It's... the sound!" Get a closer look at the stage and yup, that's a Model T.

well, almost all modellers have the Roland JC120 which is transistor, and most of them emulate a bunch of pedals that are also all solid state, so i don't see a valid reason to exclude the Beta series

Yes you're right. There is even a "solid state" position in Bias Amp 2 to be exact.

And even with or without this Solid State position enabled, I don't see why it would be impossible to use the "match" action of this plugin to catch the sound of the Beta Lead.

The only "not so easy" thing to do is to be in front of a Beta Lead and mike it.

I have an actual SUNN 200S and a Peavey 4x10 cab as my real bass rig. The 200S sounds a lot like a 2000S, but lower wattage (beefy distortion at a lower volume). The closest combination of VSTs to simulate THAT sound when recording bass direct is: An Ignite SHB-1 Bass Preamp (adjust as you would the 200S) into an Ignite TPA-1 Power Amp (open the back UI and jack everything up!) into a Plectron IRCab (all available at VST4Free) with the Peavey 4x10 Big IR response file (I forget where I found that...). Also sounds good with various Ampeg 8x10 IRs. I only wish I could find an IR file for a Sunn 2x15 Cab with JBL D140Fs or D150s! Then it would sound like the amp I WISH I had! If anyone knows of an IR with that sound, please let me know!
Oh... BTW... The CPU usage for that combo is reasonably low! Glad to help! Cheers, CLG

Oh... BTW... My 200S has 6550s... Use the KT88 Tube (Valve) setting, not 6L6 (Fender) or EL34 (Marshall). Sounds just like it!

I reckon you might get closest with something in the Orange range, if you can emulate 6L6's or 6550's instead of EL34's in the power section. It's that slightly loose/woolly low end, ragged midrange and chunky low-mid girth.
