The Arturia Software Center (ASC) has been broken for me, for a few weeks?? I dont see updates, etc. I have the V Collection 4 (which includes the Spark, and this update) along with V Collection 5. Neither of those show anything other than the software titles in the ASC. I can click on the Spark 2 icon under V Collection 4... but it only brings up an empty Spark 2 page in ASC?? To get updates... I have to hear about them second hand (thanks OP for that!), and then go to downloads and manually grab updates. It's been like this for weeks now.. Oh well. Was able to snag the update manually, and install it / copy the software where it's supposed to go. Convoluted mess though . . .

Good idea. I did not receive any notification about the update. May be a setting in the ASC or something. Regarding the issues I have been having with the ASC. Yesterday I re-downloaded /re-installed version 1.4.2.306 on my Mac. I should have done this a few weeks ago. It corrected the GUI and other issues I had been having. The Spark update showed up too. All fixed here. It's odd, because that's the version that was installed, and was visible in the lower right panel of the window. Re-installing fixed my issues.

cheers -

I´m really impressed of the Spark 2.4, easy to use, versatile, moderate CPU. :hyper:
But at the same time I´m sad, that the new uppgrade didn´t improve two very essential
feature in the Spark 2:

1a. Midi mapping: they have their very owm, and its not compatible with GM or Live or BFD3, or any format I have tried. I don´t want to use Spark 2 inside the Live drum rack etc., but play all those millions of grooves and fills I have, with the Spark 2. Arturia could have program e.g. Midi mapping converter inside the Spark 2.

1b. Connected to the previous one, importing Midi files to the Spark 2 is not possible. You can drag and drop files out of the Spark 2, but not import.

2. Spark 2 doesn´t include pre-programmed sequences to the each instrument. This is the way e.g. Big Fish Sequence has improved the usability and work flow. You should be able to choose the rhythm pattern from the library, try a random pattern, or do the pattern manually.
Arturias Pattern Bank is OK, but its only the whole kit or song, which should be able to tweak per instrument rapidly.

I wish that Arturia would make the Spark 2 even better in the near future.

Hi Harry_HH,

You can import Midi pattern in Spark simply by dragging Midi files on the sequencer.
In the pref panel you can choose the Midi pattern Import format.
;)

Ben, thank you for pointing this out.
I really have to test this feature.
BTW, is there a Spark 2.4 manual available, I found only a very old version of the manual, and generic to all different Spark versions.

I found the Update included with the V-Collection 4 Activation in Arturia Software Center. Spark 2 is not included with V-Collextion 5 and 6.
After upgrading to v5 and later v6 the v4 Activation still works here.

Yes know, that's where I looked, it wasn't there. Apparently it is now.

I spread my mouth after reading the Changelog list. Did the Spark until OS 2.4 work? It´s a long time ago ago i´ve seen such a crash list.

I´m still intrested in the LE because he is the only Hybrid who comes with real 16 step Buttons(unfortunaly no Encoders).

The cutest My Little Pony drum machine ever :)
oh wow, it's that bad? almost got one, still thought about it from time to time but, glad I dodged it, thought it would have been a solid unit.

No it's just a play on the name and the cutesy colours and sparkles :)

Sounds cool. I got pretty close to buying a used Spark LE a while back, but in the end I couldn't justify the expense. Still really want to get my hands on this, though. Couldn't believe it when I found out Arturia had a drum machine, TAE and all.
