The way i understand it, it is like the differential unison engine in Dune. First time i read about that parameter as well. Don't think i ever even noticed it, when i trialed Antidote.

My point holds. I own both D2 and Legend. The focus and identity of D2 is the differential engine. That’s what it is. An instrument needs an identity, and it needs to exceed at it’s identity. How many instruments do you guys own that do it all half assed at this point and why?
By the way, on this board especially, every one has the same instruments, sequencing the same presets, making the same tracks over and over and over... ain’t nobody doing anything ground breaking or different. 1: load sample of someone else playing an instrument. 2: sequence the latest name in the latest YouTube top 10 synth list. 3: put the loudest boom boom boom you can make over it. 4: over produce the whole thing ... louder is better.

I love complex things when they are the appropriate tool to complete a task. But I want to build complexity as I go, not have to deal with it from the first note I want to put down. The difference is likely that you see a synth as an end in itself, something that can exist on it's own, but to me it is just part of a much greater whole, a cog in a big machine. The big machine spits out songs, if I'm lucky, and just like anyone I want the path from raw material to finished product to be fast and smooth, not unnecessarily complex. Think of it like brewing beer - you keep it simple and pure and you get the best results.bbtr wrote:Hey BONES, let me spell this out for you: the Legend is simple, DUNE 2 is complex. Don't like complex things? M-hmm... Life is hard, boyo!
So you are happy to admit that you will change the rules to suit your unfocused ramblings? As we both know, you were trying to suggest that DUNE 1 was as much effort as DUNE 2, where what you should have been saying is that it can be, if you choose to make it so. In context my point is valid, yours is not.AnX wrote:So you have taken a snippet of what i actually said out of context, and replied to that with EXACTLY THE SAME AS I HAVE SAID SEVERAL TIMES IN THIS THREAD ALREADY![]()
I've ALWAYS had hardware. ALWAYS. I wouldn't think of playing live without it but, as I just said in another thread, we don't live in a binary world so just because I prefer one thing doesn't exclude me from finding uses for the other as well. Because I am not blinkered or blind, I am free to choose the tools that work best in any given situation. More importantly, rather than making ridiculous pronouncements, I always keep an open mind about everything. That I am using more hardware today than I was a decade ago simply points to the fact that there is a lot more suitable hardware around today than there was a decade ago.As someone who spent years saying how crap hardware is, then turn around and buy a load of really crap hatdware and sing its praises, forgive me if i ignore your tedious rants. They rarely make sense or have any relevance.
As usual, you have it backwards - it's my computer that plugs into the Analog Keys, not the other way around. It requires one button press to access the envelope controls on the front panel of the AK, or I can do it from the Overbridge VSTi. That said, it sounds suspiciously like you were referring to IK's Uno, a synth I do not own and have not made any commitment to buy, so I'm not sure that it's a good way to try and make a point, unless the point is that you're desperate.Dune2 is too much clicking but having to plug a hardware synth into a computer and open up an editor just to get access to a 4 stage env is fine![]()

I just want to take time and use this opportunity to thank the man who implemented a block feature into this forum. Wherever you are, thank you, KVR wouldn't be the same without you.

Don't you find you get curious, though? I blocked a few numbskulls at one time but I found I always wanted to be outraged by their latest idiocy so I eventually unblocked them because it was easier. Of course, there is also a problem in that it will just feed your confirmation bias and you'll never learn anything.
Of course! But it is too big a distraction while I'm trying to get stuff done so I've put it in storage until we need it for a gig. We're ahead of schedule with the new album, though, so I was thinking just the other day that I should grab it and set it up again. It also plugs into the AK so it doesn't complicate things overly, and I should be able to run it through the AK's effects. Who knows, it might inspire a song or two?AnX wrote:Still got the Waldorf Rocket?

It sucks, TBH, like all those blocking features in forums. You will still see the posts anyway, when someone quotes the respective person. I don't see the point anyway. More of a placebo feature, which people can mention, when they want to show someone else that they give a damn about his opinion, but, not something which really gets you rid of trash on the internet. A set of rules rather does that. Like.... "Never enter a political thread on the internet".Dullee wrote:I just want to take time and use this opportunity to thank the man who implemented a block feature into this forum. But it´s hard to resist of course for longer than a few days. I need a therapy...

WALDORF Rocket rocks. Blocking sucks. Thing is actually if it has come so far that someone thinks he or she has to block another person...that's not caused by this other person. It's the feelings inside the blocker and he let that rule his temper and not the other way around. It's the missing distance that avoids to keep a cool head. Better not get in that region at first place. Isn't it all just letters in the end? Nothing harmful at all. But what we make out of it... That harms ourselves maybe cause we are not centred any more (emotions rules us then - not so good).

That's because people are disturbingly hidebound in their beliefs and mostly unable to deal with anyone's opinion that doesn't match their own. Then they wonder why they get stuck in a rut.
