I can tell you without testing...you'll get some sterile eq curves, same with gate and comp. Those you already have if you own Waves, IKM or others...Only thing that "fakes" analog is that drive knob which can be achieved with any other decent saturator you already have. Transient designer you also probably have.
Nice UI and that's all...save your money.

I may be in the minority, but I think it has some appeal to it. I already have way too many channel strips but I'm still going to demo it. The interface is clean and easy to read. I use a lot of Softube plugins already and like them.

I feel the same way, but to the extent this emulates API, I doubt that’s a 2500 compressor:db3 wrote:I'm demoing purely out of curiosity, but my Waves API 2500 & 550B seem good enough to cover this American need.

Or more likely the 225L, as I’m told:

Yeah noted. Though, I'm happy enough being in the API ball park for a fraction of the price.cturner wrote:I feel the same way, but to the extent this emulates API, I doubt that’s a 2500 compressor:db3 wrote:I'm demoing purely out of curiosity, but my Waves API 2500 & 550B seem good enough to cover this American need.

...of course if it were $49 and not $249 I'd snap it up

More power to them if they can keep mantaining that price-range, no sarcasm here.
I don't know how many companies can still manage to charge that much on EQs and compressors, especially newly released ones. Also considering they don't do 80-90% off sales or stuff like that; and even when they do 50-60% off, those plugins are still very expensive considering what's available nowdays.
