I just copied the files, and now I'm unable to open Fathom Synth. never happened before. Any advice?
When I try to open the 32-bit version, I just get a grey rectangle. If I try to open the 64-bit version, the host crashes. I already tried that solution of delete everything that was in the folder, and just leave the new files, but that didn't solve the problem. This is in Windows 7 64-bit
Last version I had (Update 295) opens OK. Seems like this a graphics related problem.

I also ordered the upgrade, but the download is windows-only, and I'm on Mac.

that would be sweet! i asked a guy on the NI Maschine forum who has made a bunch of NKS packages for various synths, and he said that he would not be making one for Fathom because the presets are too complicated with too many parameters.aMUSEd wrote:I'm trying to decide how to approach making a NKS version of this, problem is there are so many potential parameters so I need to narrow it down somehow
my newest sounds:

So, I bought Fathom Pro back in May, which I believe was v2.11. If I want to get 2.12 now, which of the two products on the page ($11 or $2.50) should I buy? Not super-clear to me... Thanks!

The updater I downloaded only seems to have the Windows versions in it.

Tldr. Is each update going to cost $2.50? Kind of weirded out by the update policy if so.

There's an explanation on the website. (edited as i misread it)
There's an explanation here:
https://www.fathomsynth.com/updates
An innovative model, curious how it works out for the developer.
The part that i misread was whether updates were free after awhile, or whether you always had to pay for the next update ($2.50). The right column (contributions) makes it sound like they are eventually free and that you should buy as many as you feel is right, the left column makes it sound like they are $2.50 each time regardless.

i took the plunge and bought this last night.. Sound quality and tweakability is excellent in my very limited playing around thus far. Unfortunately, i'm on an old CPU and some of the more complicated presets are really processor intensive on my machine (>70% on win 10 with an old x4 760k). (not all, some are in the 30s, some are <30, etc.).
This is not the only plug i've used that hits my CPU hard (i.e. i see this as the consequence of not updating my machine, not a fault of the plug), but wanted to put it out there in case anyone was on an old-ish system.
Synth sounds amazing and tons to do with it.
