Avenger does not use a dongle, it uses just a license keyfilehollyWorse wrote:Just another quick shout-out to the creators for the awesome Avenger + the reminder: As soon as I don't need Steinbergs E-Licencer with your other products it will be an instant buy for me. I know, not gonna happen. Or maybe it will?
I don't have any problem with Steinberg, the issue is that an iLok already is blocking one of my two laptop USB ports and I need the other one for Maschine. Unlike many people I don't use my Laptop at home, I got a workstation at home with plenty ports. I only use it on the road, so USB-hubs will not make it into that mobile setup.

I think, he means your other products will be an instant buy if you move away from e-licencer...msvs wrote:Avenger does not use a dongle, it uses just a license keyfilehollyWorse wrote:...As soon as I don't need Steinbergs E-Licencer with your other products it will be an instant buy for me. The copy protection technology of Avenger is not 'a simple keyfile'. It does low level changes of the Windows drivers. The driver runs with admin rights. The system can get messed up and get instable by such technologies.
It punishes honest users and does not prevent piracy

And you know this, how? I have never had any problems with Avenger's copy protection, and as far as I can remember, Avenger works pretty well without running the host in administrator mode.

Is there any way/trick to reset the number of activations within Avenger? I've bought a new HDD (replaced the old one with an SSD) and now it won't activate saying I had too many activations.
I have it installed on 2 of my PCs, but the other one went through hard disk upgrade too.
Thank you in advance.

Avenger is a really inspiring instrument and so i started making my very first expansion for this nice synth, i had a lot of fun making sounds with it and i'm sure, i will continue working on more expansions...
The first expansion i did is called Synth Motions. That library is based on samples from my analog and digital FM synth, everything was made from scratch processed through analog outboard, with that samples i did over 300 new presets...

Here are some sound & music examples...

Hope you like it...

I would say that 99percent of the presets are using the samples...

People on the internet say a lot, having all sorts of technical clue or stating things from hearsay.flakes2 wrote:The copy protection technology of Avenger is not 'a simple keyfile'. Facts please. What drivers, driver files, how did you hunt it down?
