Tools like AWT doing exactly this. It's like a DNA, you can't remove it. It's not hearable and without a tool, even not visible.
It is not like DNA. That is marketing bull****. Digital data is encoded into the audio but needs enough audio data to be able to hide the data without getting audible.

Because wavetables are very short audio snippets it is technically not possible to embed a significant data amount into it without audio artefacts.

I wonder why noone has developed a good wavetable editor and creator tool yet. Seems like there's a real market for that. Given the output files are compatible with the synth's formats, of course.
That thing looks very promising.

I wish it came with the option to use Bezier splines and snappable grid though. :D

I came up with my own tool to create wavetables when I was coming up with some Wavetables for DUNE2, but it is very idyosincratic (imports a text document with 2048 sample values and converts it into a wav file; a TUI application which would appeal to no one).

It's a very clever concept and definitely on our list of preferred tools. I just hope someone extends it to more than 128 partials. But let's discuss that in our own forum.

OTOH I'm sure one can use WaveEdit to create Gladiator/Icarus wavetables. Might not be so OT after all...

Why provoke further and no you can not do wavetables for Gladiator with Waveedit.
Is that the reason why zebra3 needs half a decade?

That's a weak stab, try harder.

If you are looking for a wavetable editor I can recommend Audio Term. This lets you create Wavetables for Complexer, Blofeld, EPS16, ASR10, Surge, Wave Generator, Dune, Serum and Wav.

An audio sample can be submitted to 24bitandme.com for analysis:

Can't find 24bitandme website! Where did you get this from?

Let's say you can watermark a wavetable, it will never survive any mangling. As said, they are too small. And adding any watermarking to the output sound, in real-time, would consume to much CPU power.

Probably not the most practical time to ask, but, can someone give me a TLDR version of whether the Wavetable Editor in the demo version of Serum can be used for creating wavetables for personal, non-commercial use.
