Studio One Prime is the free version of Presonus flagship DAW, Studio One.
It contains many of the same powerful features from Artist and Professional editions, including intuitive drag-and-drop functionality, unlimited tracks, Presence XT, and nine robust Native Effects plug-ins. You'll also get nearly a gig of loop and sample content to get your creativity rolling.
After struggling a bit with the installation procedure I finally downloaded it and will have a look if it‘s triggering creativity or having other benefits...

Logic is awesome. 
Bitwig is only DAW I see myself using after Logic, where I feel I got some workflow enchantments, coupled with Nektar DAW integration.

I think it's great to have a free version for beginners. Much more intuitive than Pro Tools First.
