Anyone know of a good Sid Tracker that is still updated in 2018 with midi import?

Would prefer free, would do paid if it was under 100$. Also would be cool if it has piano roll-out editing also.

I want to make some chiptunes sid, and gameboyish.

Thanks CJ !

If you happen to have an ipad, this is the best self-contained SID tracker on any platform imo: http://sidtracker64.com

Out of actual SID emulation synths (not including a whole tracker environment) that you can load in your favorite DAW, this one is the most accurate and rewarding, getting recommendations from actual 80s SID legends: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... show/8572/

That one needs Reaktor, in turn. But.. think of it this way: if you already have that and pair it with Renoise, you have the ultimate SID tracker :D !

Goattracker is a very good SID tracker. Alternatively you could try Deflemask. It supports SID, Gameboy and a bunch of other systems. It's often lovingly called "Defectmask", because it's kinda buggy, but it always worked reasonably well for me. I only ever used the YM2612 mode though.

For NES tracks, 0CC Famitracker is the best solution, in my opinion. SnevenTracker is good for Master System stuff.

But honesty, if you really just want to make some "fakebit" stuff, you are probably better off using something like Klystrack or even OpenMPT or Milkytracker. Hively Tracker might also be worth looking into.

None of these have a piano roll or import MIDI (except OMPT), but for somewhat realistic chiptune stuff, I wouldn't recommend that anyway.
