I have to solve a problem with an old Alesis X25: it have a glitchy pitch-bend wheel, and i thought that i could create a sort of "dead-zone" around its center by apply some curve/formula to it.
I started looking at Patcher, but i'm not even able to "extract" the parameters (red lines) from the midi input to connect to the formula module....
How could i do that?

It's possible to enter a mapping formula there. It has two presets for center dead zones, so it might not be necessary to come up with your own formula.
The result is that now the pitch "sticks" to the center with very shorts "jumps" up or down when i move the wheel... tried various curves and port numbers, without any different results.
I tried to use the Midiout plugin to have a knob linked to the pitchwheel and use a formula (is the same window that appears with your suggestion). Problem is that the output of that knob is no more a pitchwheel MIDI message. I have'nt found how to "generate" pitchwheel messages in FLStudio at all.Chapelle wrote:AFAIK, the Fruity Formula Controller can't be used to manipulate MIDI inside Patcher.
