I think if you knew what I've done for the community in terms of free wavetables then you'd realise that's bang out of order. You will not find any of the Virus wavetables in my collection. Mine are all made with my own algorithms in Wolfram Mathematica. I've been doing this for many years including most of the factory content for DUNE2.Amram wrote:Here we go the first 10$Dasheesh wrote:chk071 wrote:Did you find him on the Darknet?Dasheesh wrote:alright. i got a guy in russia or something willing to host them.
just don’t blame me when russian edm uses them to make a “virus for dune” preset pack for 10$ a pop. it’s not my fault.

I want an apology immediately for your defamation.

I'll take that for now, but please edit the original offensive post to make it clear that you were wrong, which you most definitely are.Amram wrote:You can take my apology.cytospur wrote:That's really not how it comes across. Apology please.Amram wrote:I just meant a coincidence

Yes there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Cytospur is the undisputed number one expert when it comes to DUNE Wavetables.

pretty sure cytospur is the mod on the Synapse forum, with a pack of stuff he is trying to sell you and a fragile ego. while all amram did was poke his head up and offer to host free wavetables for you on his own dime. this is why I’m paranoid.
note to self, the words “U-he”, and “Virus” are trigger words on KVR.
I’m sure you have given a great deal to the community as far as free wavetables and all cytospur, but personally I don’t need them, and this guy meant no harm. he has been nothing but cool. just frigging relax already, nobody was trying to hurt your feelings. can’t we all just have fun?

Read it again. It's obvious Amram was attempting to say there is a connection between Cytospur's Wavetables release and the Virus Wavetables. At least it's obvious to me. However there is no such connection, it's simply a coincidence.Amram wrote:Here we go the first 10$Dasheesh wrote:chk071 wrote:Did you find him on the Darknet?Dasheesh wrote:alright. i got a guy in russia or something willing to host them.

For the record I appreciate your efforts and the efforts of both Amram and Cytospur. But insulting someone with words like "fragile ego" doesn't go very far in promoting "can’t we all just have fun"....

well, I don’t think it’s much of a thing to be upset about. why didn’t dude just say “that is completely disconnected to me but thanks for the advertisement?”, because he got free advertisement from it. he didn’t need to go attacking this guy. I would have thanked him personally, but maybe that’s just the difference between me and everyone else. sorry if I busted your ego Cytospur. I don’t have anything against you, I’m just not sure it was worth all the drama. the guy was just trying to join in as far as I took it.

No ego busted. I asked, quite reasonably, for the clear allegation to be retracted. I didn't use any rude words or attack the guy other than to insist on an apology.
I think it's great that PietW shared the original wavetables and I think it's great that you converted them and shared them. I could have done that myself, but felt uncomfortable doing so without getting permission.
I'm not making a packet from selling wavetables, nor is that the intention. I have a, probably unhealthy, fascination with wavetable synthesis and know that others want more wavetables, so I share what I make with a very small charge to cover the cloud storage costs that go with that.
Anyway, thanks for doing the conversion and thanks PietW for getting permission to post them in the first place.
Let's get back on track now then, hey?
