it’s the nature of the beast actually. same with Blofeld, same with The Legend... the higher the quality, the less the voices. digital can do what ever you want. it can only reach a ceiling tho. there are ways to make a mono synth a poly synth in the digital realm though. if you have a good enough processor. i see how aparillo is the future of digital synthesis. take prefabbed samples and blend them. makes sense. personally, I like factory and the price reflects that. it really depends on how you want to do it.c_voltage wrote:Hm, tried Factory, good. But one moment - unisono mode can play only monophonic ? No poly ??

Well, i understand, but really sad nonetheless, i found unisono mode here sounding very good, but without poly its unsuitable, for tasks in my head at least.Dasheesh wrote:it’s the nature of the beast actually. same with Blofeld, same with The Legend... the higher the quality, the less the voices. digital can do what ever you want. it can only reach a ceiling tho. there are ways to make a mono synth a poly synth in the digital realm though. if you have a good enough processor. i see how aparillo is the future of digital synthesis. take prefabbed samples and blend them. makes sense. personally, I like factory and the price reflects that. it really depends on how you want to do it.c_voltage wrote:Hm, tried Factory, good. In general, i really would buy Factory right now, if be two things: poly-unison and little cpu usage (need say is felt here). Surprisingly, i liked sound result of this simplify but diverse osc's collection. I can not say exactly what's the catch, maybe fx's partly, but it sounds interestingly enough. Honestly, previously thought would be something slightly more boring\usual. Well, or by other words - for 50 bucks could grab it right now lol, with non-poly unison and cpu usage. But not for 99. (Maybe some another sale, will see)

Damn, twisted out Factory last night, forced to buy
. Not least the reason was detected ability to works without "note on" command, as sound generator. Despite some cons, really like this feature. The only thing, sad that not able to trig sequencer by modulators ).

I just purchased it, and maybe when I demoed it originally I skipped right over that default patch, but holy crap - don't want to do anything else now but score an imaginary film with it.
Since they bill it as "The Cinematic Machine", I'd say that patch hit the mark.

Also - props that the orbiter can be automated (separate x/y). I tend to rack everything in Live and get knobby with Push 2.
Gonna need joystick interfaces soon - lots of x/y controllers popping up.

Are there such things as USB/MIDI joysticks that can be easily added to a setup ?JoeCat wrote:Gonna need joystick interfaces soon - lots of x/y controllers popping up.
If not, maybe the 3D controllers part of the Joué controller ...

The colors are a bit "Toy's 'R Us" ("Toys Were Us?), but otherwise that's a good-looking ad interesting interface - especially the modular aspect. Would love to try it but I don't imagine anyone stateside has it in inventory (yet).mevla wrote:Are there such things as USB/MIDI joysticks that can be easily added to a setup ?JoeCat wrote:Gonna need joystick interfaces soon - lots of x/y controllers popping up.
