Actually, I am completely crazy about medieval inspired electronica as collected in this thread:

I`d rather listen to this kind of music for the rest of my days than hear one more solo played over a blues chord progression.

Of course they are. Not many centuries ago the Otoman Empire dominated the entire southeast of Europe, making frontiers with the Austrian Empire and the Russian Empire. And the entire Mediterranean was theirs :shrug:

According to Wikipedia, who know everything ;), a mere 3 % of Turkey's land area is on European turf. I would also add a political remark, but, that's not very welcome around here, outside of HPC. Let's just say that i agree with fls on this.

Germany was much bigger once as well, but, i think we really don't want to go back to those times.

Yes. The coast used to be called Ionia, and it was definitely a part of Greece.

Then Alexander came along, and the whole world was part of Greece. Or Macedon. Or something.
