Hi All,

I'm extremely new to music recording & all that comes with it and I really need some help.
I am currently using a Pentium i4 4gb 64bit w/Windows 7, Alesis Crimson Mesh e-drumkit & Behringer UMC22 Audio Interface.
I had been using Audacity for a few weeks & have recently also started playing around with Tracktion for it's MIDI recording capability.

My goal is to record a song & export to wav/mp3 that includes my e drums, vocals & guitar.
Is this possible, with either of the software programs I have?
I have used Audacity and recorded my e-drums with just a mic but the sound quality is nowhere near as nice as using Tracktion's MIDI recording obviously.

So for example this is what I'd like to achieve:
1. Lay down a electric guitar track through my UMC22 into Tracktion as Track 1
2. Lay down a vocal track using mic into UMC22 into Tracktion as Track 2
3. Lay down bass guitar track through my UMC22 into Tracktion as Track 3
4. Lay down a drum track using my e-drums, through MIDI, using MT Powerdrumkit 2 VST as Track 4
5. Add some effects / eq etc where require
6. Render / Export to a WAV or MP3 file that can be played on WMP, iTunes or burned to an audio CD

Any help on if this is possible, how I should go about it etc would be immensely appreciated!

Thanks all, Brett.

Thanks Etienne!

Believe me I have tried but I am currently unable to render any file & be able to listen to it in WMP etc!
I have posted a detailed description of what I have tried etc here:

No reply as yet though!

I just wanted to know IF it was actually possible to export a MIDI track along with a vocal stereo track, guitar track etc into 1 rendered file such as a WAV / MP3....

Sure that's possible. Guess: file export render audio file.

I'd recommend to have a look at the manual or watch some basic tutorial videos.
